Far Burggraaf:

BURGGRAAF was very successful in the heavier classes of the National Stallion Competition, of which he won the finals and six of seven rounds. Under Roelof Bril, he cleared the 2.10 meter during the puissance of Indoor Brabant in 1991, and in 1993 they were Reserve Champion of the 1.40m class for KWPN stallions. BURGGRAAF's very high jumping index of 152 shows in such offspring as Burggravin, Procops Dumbo, Sublieft, Hevalietje, Jumper, and Graaf. Many of his offspring are Star and Keur. He is also a producer of excellent movement; the Grand Prix Dressage horses Florijn and Louisville being examples.

BURGGRAAF's sire was the top breeding stallion Landgraf I, who produced over 50 approved stallions and over 70 State Premium mares in Germany alone. His dam's sire, Cor de la Bryere, is second in the German yearbook only to Landgraf I.

Morfar Democraat:

Democraat is one of but a few stallions who have performed at the highest levels in both jumping and dressage. For two years he participated simultaneously in the stallion competitions in both disciplines. After that Anky van Grunsven rode him in the International Light-Tour while he was still impressively jumping at the higher levels. Democraat was the stallion who trumped all his German colleagues by taking the championship in Warendorf during his performance test. The offspring of Democraat are scoring very high in the dressage ring, which is not surprising considering the high dressage index of their sire. Many breeders of dressage horses find the imposing appearance of Democraat appealing. Of importance also are his bloodlines, which include prominent stallions Pion and Pericles, and also Silvano. The progeny of Democraat are doing very well in sport. His most outstanding son is Jup, ridden by Sonia Gademan, who performs very well at Grand-Prix level and was the reserve horse for Sydney 2000. Democraat offspring are in great demand and during the stallion selections at Den Bosch in 2002, two impressive sons were accepted for Ermelo (Democraat x Michelangelo and Democraat x Juventus).
